This role utilizes expert knowledge in the funeral arrangement and servicing field, in providing bereaved families a dignified funeral for their loved one, maintaining a very high customer servicing standard. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through team coordinated efforts.
Good communication skills
Solid funeral arranging officer experience
Plans and coordinates arrangements for funerals and cremations according to the wishes of the deceased or their family.
Arrange deceased removals on request from the families.
Informing the relatives about the necessary legal procedures and assisting the relatives in completing the required paperwork.
Providing information and process sales on funeral services options, products, or merchandise.
Provides advice on a specific range of products and are individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.
Co-ordinate the viewing process.
Identify Tombstone and policy Leads.
Obtain all clearances and adhering to regulations associated with burials and cremations.
Organizing the details of the funeral service such the funeral date, time, venues, flowers, funeral programme, transportation, clergy for service, pallbearers, obituary notice wording, coffin selection and arranging with the cemetery or crematorium.
Informs clients of requirements and procedures.
Performs customer servicing such as follow-ups, client call-backs, policy changes, initiate claims and relevant benefit payments etc.
Adheres to business, process and compliance rules.
Performs quality checks on own work.
Ensure that invoices are paid 24 hrs prior to funeral date.
Keeping abreast and sharing new trends in the market.
Maintaining a referral database and relationship management with referral institutions/individuals.
Marketing and raising awareness of funeral services with hospitals, old age homes, hospices, etc
Skills and Experience
2-3 years experience in a similar role
Higher Certificate (Required)
